I kind of have a random question, if you don't mind.
I am wondering how you manage to maintain the integrity of your pencil sketches when scanning them into the computer. Whenever I scan in my own work, I tend to lose quite a bit of detail (especially when I adjust things in Photoshop in an attempt to clean up the scan). Do you have any tips for keeping scans of pencil art crisp and detailed?
Whenever I scan pieces I don't do much besides scanning them as straight as possible and piecing them together. Maybe what's making them more crisp though is that I convert them to greyscale, then adjust the levels to make the blacks and whites pop more, it tends to make things crisper. I don't know if that helps you at all?
